warm December days

… and I’m still lucid dreaming October, where I reunioned with my mothers in the forest for a Very Autumn 2022. They followed me home, then carried me home. Also to the beach, to a ferry, to a mall, to a suburban southern street. Now, coming on Solstice, I’m still all ablaze, red and yellow swirling and simmering in my belly.

So I made a music video.

The tiniest spider starts off solid and ends up suspended— for now. It may yet reach the other side, there to commune with a bona fide goddess Queen now growing a Power in her own Right. Flames burn, flames flutter. Rest is taken as leaves rustle down. Flames flicker, flames snuff themselves. Finally, a “new” spell is cast.

***

One way I know the spell worked is that my stepmother is not wicked. She tells zesty stories, she LOVEs my dad et al, she buys everybody stuff according to her faith-full retail therapy doctrine. When the sun blooms suddenly in the middle of a day we expected to be entirely soggy, she stops sewing her pajamas and bounces up for a walk together with infinite YES! and eternal gratitude.

Since Autumn 2022, I Name these things in color…

red = YES!
yellow = gratitude

… then I stir the pot, and the spell is renewed. My, it’s unseasonably warm in here.
