That’s how long I spent trying to find the creator of these images so I could get permission to use them.

That was about a year ago, when my witchy alter ego Thaliana was fully born into project jelinora with her song Coven of One (on All Souls Day, of course). The creature speaks to her archetypes so well!

If anyone finds their creator, let me know, cuz I have questions:

  • Is that a fox’s face?

  • Did you use AI?

  • If not AI, what’s the texture and medium of the original piece?

  • Were you inspired by ancient Persian art, by the story of the Simurgh, by both, or by neither?

  • Do you even realize how evocative that halo is?

  • Can I pay you? or can I buy the originals?
